Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Senior General Superintendent II for federal work, primarily on-site in the Houston area. You will independently manage field operations on projects up to $100M, lead safety and quality programs, and mentor on-site teams.

You will oversee coordination with owners, architects, and trades, enforce safety, drive schedule adherence, manage budgets and change orders, and support business development across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of large-scale construction experience.
• Federal construction experience required.
• EM 385-1-1 knowledge or experience preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates field operations to ensure quality work and approved schedules.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders to show progress.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades and anticipate problems.
• Ensures permits and inspections are secured with AHJ.
