Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Manager II to implement and manage the QC program on a federal construction project. You will serve as the primary QC liaison with the customer and regulatory agencies, ensuring adherence to FAR 52.246-12 and EM 385-1-1.

You will lead the QC team, coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation, and oversee nonconformance resolution and corrective actions across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required.
• Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification for federal assignments; if not current at hire, completion within 90 days.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE), ASQ, ISO, or other quality certification required.
• Working knowledge of FAR 52.246-12, EM 385-1-1, OSHA, MSHA and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QC program on federal projects.
• Supervise QC personnel, labs, subcontractors, and inspection staff.
• Coordinate staffing and inspection coverage across disciplines and shifts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical QC support from preconstruction to closeout.
