Nationwide IT Services in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Proposal Manager / Proposal Writer to join our Capture team. This role supports all phases of federal proposal development and is ideal for a strong writer looking to grow in proposal management.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (on-site Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and opportunities to collaborate with Business Development, Capture, Program Managers and technical SMEs to craft compliant, compelling narratives for DoD and Civilian

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2–5 years of experience supporting Federal proposal development, proposal writing, proposal coordination, or technical writing.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze solicitation requirements and assist with proposal outlines, compliance matrices, schedules, and content assignments.
Develop and edit technical, management, staffing, and past performance sections.
Transform technical notes and SME input into clear, customer-focused proposal narratives.
Support proposal activities including kickoff meetings, color reviews, final editing, formatting, and submission.
Maintain proposal templates, resumes, and past performance libraries while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Write, edit, and coordinate proposal responses for Federal RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Task Orders, and White Papers.
Work with Business Development, Capture, Program Managers, and technical SMEs to develop compliant, compelling proposal content.
