Job summary

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Proposal Manager / Proposal Writer to join our Capture team in Fairfax, VA. This hybrid role supports all phases of federal proposal development and offers opportunities to advance into proposal management.

You will analyze solicitations, craft narratives, coordinate content with SMEs, and manage editing, formatting, and submissions for RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Task Orders, and White Papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, English, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting Federal proposal development, proposal writing, proposal coordination, or technical writing.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze solicitation requirements and assist with proposal outlines, compliance matrices, schedules, and content assignments.
• Develop and edit technical, management, staffing, and past performance sections.
• Transform technical notes and SME input into clear, customer-focused proposal narratives.
• Support proposal activities including kickoff meetings, color reviews, final editing, formatting, and submission.
• Maintain proposal templates, resumes, and past performance libraries while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Write, edit, and coordinate proposal responses for Federal RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Task Orders, and White Papers.
• Work with Business Development, Capture, Program Managers, and technical SMEs to develop compliant, compelling proposal content.
