Job summary

AE Works seeks a Federal Proposal Manager to lead complex proposals from inception to submission, coordinating schedules, content development, and client communication. The role requires strategic oversight, hands-on editing, and collaboration with architects, engineers, and leadership in a fast-paced setting.

You will craft and manage proposal content, drive strategy, and ensure compliance with federal requirements, traveling occasionally to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in proposal development.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity in proposal management software.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of complex federal proposals, ensuring client requirements are met and aligned with firm goals.
• Craft compelling proposal content that communicates the firm's value proposition and differentiators; edit materials for clarity and compliance.
• Partner with technical staff, marketing, and leadership to gather information and insights for proposal development; lead strategy sessions.
• Research prospective clients, competitors, and market trends to inform proposal strategies.
• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent proposals that reflect the firm’s brand.
• Continuously refine the proposal process by incorporating feedback and industry best practices.
• Engage with clients throughout the proposal process to clarify requirements and present proposal elements.
