Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager II for federal engineering and design, delivering infrastructure for DoD, VA, and government clients. You will guide projects through scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and federal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will contribute to proposals, mentor staff, and help build Olsson’s federal capabilities in a collaborative, people-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Six years of project experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with increasing responsibility.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams on federal DoD/VA projects.
• Solid understanding of federal design standards, contracts, and budgets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with integrity.
• Experience mentoring and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and lead federal design teams and align expertise with project goals.
• Define project scope, develop schedules and budgets with clients and contractors.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor costs and financial performance.
• Serve as primary client contact ensuring expectations and compliance.
• Identify risks and changes; implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and coordination with disciplines.
• Develop QA plans to meet client and firm standards.
• Lead routine project meetings and maintain documentation.
• Support proposal development and contribute to firm-wide improvements.
