Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager II to lead federal design teams delivering infrastructure for DoD/VA clients. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multidisciplinary efforts, ensuring compliant, high-quality solutions from concept through delivery.

You will collaborate with federal stakeholders and internal teams to support UFC and related standards, while contributing to proposals and continuous improvement of federal design capabilities.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of project experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction with increasing responsibility.
• Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams on federal projects for DoD/VA.
• Strong knowledge of federal design standards, acquisition processes, contracts, and project finances.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with integrity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and lead federal design teams, aligning expertise with project goals and applicable federal requirements.
• Define project scope and develop schedules and budgets in collaboration with clients and contractors.
• Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure client satisfaction and project success.
• Serve as primary client contact, ensuring alignment on expectations and compliance with UFC, DoD, VA, and other standards.
• Identify risks and changes, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and coordinate with disciplines on billing and contract requirements.
• Develop and implement quality plans to meet client expectations and firm standards.
• Plan and lead routine project meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor team members and promote project management best practices.
