Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager II to lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects, manage budgets, timelines, and client communications. The role focuses on delivering high-quality solutions while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with Olsson PM standards.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years in AEC project delivery, with PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Travel and flexible scheduling may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or related area preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification or degree encouraged.
• Adept in Olsson’s PM standards and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Assembles project teams and assigns responsibilities to align skills with objectives.
• Communicates project scope, schedule, and budget to the team, client, and contractors; serves as primary liaison.
• Develops budgets, tracks costs, and maintains client satisfaction.
• Secures resources for all stages to ensure timely completion.
• Develops the quality management plan to meet client and firm standards.
• Identifies risks or additional costs and mitigates impact.
• Organizes routine project meetings with client and team to align expectations.
• Documents all deliverables and maintains project records.
• Develops and maintains strong client relationships for future work.
• Coordinates contract negotiations and understands other disciplines’ contract/billing requirements.
• Mentors staff on Olsson PM practices and programs.
• Ensures data is maintained per documentation standards.
• Adheres to regulations and safety standards.
