Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Project Executive – Federal to provide executive leadership on nationwide federal projects, manage contract negotiations, budgets, and client relations, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and EM 385-1-1 safety standards.

You will lead security-cleared teams, oversee P&L and EVMS, coordinate with USACE, NAVFAC, and GSA, and drive growth across government facilities while maintaining strict safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of general construction experience.
• 10+ years in construction management leadership on federal, defense, SCIF, or secure facility projects ($100M+).
• Active Top Secret/SCI or Secret clearance (or eligibility).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive teams and recruit security-cleared project staff.
• Drive federal project acquisition, lead complex proposals, and high-level negotiations.
• Coordinate pre-construction with gov't estimates, ICD 705, and start-up handoffs.
• Oversee federal program accounting, EVMS, forecasting, and P&L.
• Manage executive client relationships with federal agencies.
• Lead safety programs and Lean/Last Planner adoption.
