Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Government Affairs Associate to drive federal advocacy and develop relationships with policymakers. This Washington, DC-based role reports to the VP, U.S. Government Affairs and supports Robinhood's priority policy issues across digital assets, retail investing, and financial access.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the U.S. Congress and/or Executive Branch, including work with relevant committees and agencies.
• Substantial time working for a member of Congress or a Congressional committee.
• Familiarity with financial services and ability to communicate sophisticated policy in that area.
• Existing relationships and positive rapport with government stakeholders and industry groups.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to align across teams and audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for policy issues and develop relationships with policymakers in U.S. Congress.
• Lead engagements with industry associations to align their agendas with Robinhood's policy goals.
• Apply political and policy expertise to identify opportunities for Robinhood's priorities.
• Equip internal partners with clear, timely understanding of complex legislative/regulatory policies.
• Lead strategy and prepare Robinhood executives for engagements with government stakeholders.
