Job summary

Stripe is seeking a senior government relations professional to shape policy in the United States. You will build bipartisan alliances and advocate on financial services and technology policy with Congress and federal regulators.

This role requires DC-area residency and a proven track record in policy, legislation, and regulatory affairs, with the ability to translate complex policy into actionable guidance for internal teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in policymaking or advocacy (Capitol Hill, federal agency, or equivalent).
• Experience with Members of Congress, committees, or leadership offices in a policy role.
• Deep expertise in financial services regulation and payments policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, pursue, and execute policy objectives as part of Stripe's global policy priorities.
• Lead federal legislative advocacy—engage Congress on priorities including digital assets, AI governance, and payments regulation.
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress and staff; serve as Stripe's representative on federal policy.
• Engage federal regulatory agencies to educate them about Stripe's business and advocate for sound policy outcomes.
• Plan, develop, and execute policy initiatives and campaigns to advance Stripe's goals and users.
• Translate complex policy dynamics into actionable guidance for colleagues across Stripe.
• Represent Stripe on trade groups, coalitions, and industry bodies engaged on federal policy issues.
