Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX.

Responsibilities include reviewing design and construction, evaluating mechanical systems, and supporting commissioning through all phases of construction. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of commissioning experience; US citizenship is required and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three (3) years of building commissioning experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing and inspecting HVAC, plumbing, controls, and other mechanical building systems.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and code interpretation.
• Review construction schedules for conformance and contract compliance.
• Review and document plans, specs, submittals and shop drawings for field conditions and contract compliance.
• Evaluate major design, construction, renovation, and alteration projects.
• Support commissioning activities for building systems and prepare reports.
