Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Commercial & Land Advisor to support land-related activities across designated areas. You will lead title work, leverage brokers for due diligence, negotiate terms, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to advance exploration and development plans.

This role requires 3+ years of in-house land experience in oil and gas, plus strong negotiation and communication skills. Some travel may be required as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of in-house land experience in oil & gas
• Bachelor's in Energy Management/Energy Commerce, Law Degree, or MBA required or preferred
• Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to deliver results in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic area with limited supervision
• Manage brokers for title research and due diligence
• Obtain Title Opinions and cure defects
• Review and draft leases, term assignments, and contracts and guide on critical dates
• Assist with preparation of documents to drill exploratory/development wells and lease maintenance
• Negotiate with other companies/individuals for term assignments, operating agreements, and farm-out agreements
• Leverage network to negotiate acreage trades, acquisitions, and divestitures
• Work with other technical functions on development planning and execution in a geographic area
• Travel may be required
