Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Commercial & Land Advisor to join our Houston-area teams, supporting land duties across a designated geographic area with limited supervision. You will manage brokers, obtain title opinions, and draft leases and assignments to ensure timely obligations are met.

Ideal candidates bring upstream oil & gas knowledge with 3+ years of in-house land experience and a strong collaborative, results-driven mindset. Travel may be involved as projects demand coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Requires upstream oil and gas knowledge with 3+ years of in-house land experience and relevant degrees.
• Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic area with limited supervision.
• Manage brokers for title research and due diligence.
• Obtain Title Opinions and cure defects.
• Review and draft leases, term assignments, and contracts; guide team on critical dates.
• Assist with preparation of documents for drilling exploratory/development wells and lease maintenance.
• Negotiate term assignments, operating agreements and farm-out agreements; leverage network for acreage trades or divestitures.
• Collaborate with other technical functions for development planning and execution.
• Travel may be required.
