Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a Commercial & Land Advisor to join its Houston-area team. You will work on land-related projects, manage title research, and support exploration and development initiatives with limited supervision.

You will collaborate across functions, negotiate term assignments and farm-out agreements, and coordinate with brokers to ensure due diligence and timely delivery. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of in-house land experience with relevant degree.
• Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to deliver results in a performance-driven environment.
• Experience with land transactions and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic area with limited supervision.
• Manage brokers for title research and due diligence.
• Obtain Title Opinions and cure defects.
• Review and draft leases, term assignments, and contracts.
• Assist with preparation of documents to drill exploratory and/or development wells, and lease maintenance.
• Negotiate with other companies and/or individuals in preparation of term assignments, operating agreements and farm-out agreements; leverage network for trades.
• Travel may be required.
