CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) in Tampa, FL, seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join the Information Technology department. You will partner with internal owners and external partners to understand new opportunities and define functional requirements, translating them into actionable specs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or engineering
• Must be able to complete Background Investigation and obtain Government Security clearance
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and/or design of information systems programs and related business processes
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods
• Experience with Jira or other Agile tools
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
• Must work well in both team and independent settings
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with government projects and policy/procedures teams
• Ability to interact with Senior Leadership and Government Executives and staff

Responsibilities

• Support the development of briefs, agendas, and documentation for new and existing technologies
• Document and analyze requirements to translate into process maps and technical system specs
• Develop documentation meeting standards (diagrams, operations concepts, status reports)
• Create high-level briefings and communications for customers and executives
• Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement and new tech
• Evaluate program materials and propose innovative improvements
• Gather information from subject matter experts to write manuals and specifications
• Develop understanding of Microsoft and Atlassian products (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence)
• Research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with team members
• Develop content across media with a cohesive voice
• Perform risk management and escalate risks
• Support continuous improvement of products, services, and processes
• Manage client interaction and set expectations
• Identify cross-team dependencies and collaboration
• Increase customer satisfaction and long-term client relationships
