Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Site Superintendent/Foreman to support the Pentagon project in Arlington, VA. This role leads field teams in maintenance and service of HVAC systems and BAS, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring work aligns with contract requirements.

The position emphasizes safety, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication, with eligibility for security clearances as needed. Travel is limited, and the role is based at the Arlington site with first-shift hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project coordination and supervision of construction projects.
• Proficiency with commercial HVAC equipment and Building Automation Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for supervision and client interface.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
• Experience with Federal and/or State government projects (preferred).
• Experience managing project scopes of $1 million or larger (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise field teams performing maintenance and service on HVAC systems and BAS.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure on-schedule work and quality control per contract.
• Develop means and methods for service and maintenance per project needs.
• Coordinate activities of employees and subcontractors.
• Assist with contract safety requirements and SSHO functions.
• Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress with project manager.
• Prepare budgets/forecasts with project manager.
• Coordinate inspections and client-required verifications.
• Lead regular project/site meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities on site.
