Job summary

Naval Intelligence Activity in Suitland, MD seeks a qualified labor relations professional to advise on LER/EMR concepts, FMLA guidance, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with Management and Legal to resolve conduct and performance issues and communicate sensitive information on medical matters, leave programs, and workers' compensation.

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, suitable for federal employment, able to pass E-Verify, and capable of obtaining Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

Requires at least one year of specialized experience in labor and employee relations and related programs.
Experience interpreting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance for federal agencies.
Experience advising management and resolving employee conduct and performance issues.

Responsibilities

Provide knowledge of concepts, principles, regulations, policies and procedures governing LER/EMR.
Offer accurate guidance on diverse leave programs under FMLA.
Participate in meetings with Management and Legal to resolve employee conduct and performance issues.
Advise management based on current regulatory and procedural guidance.
Establish collaboration with external entities regarding sensitive information involving medical issues, leave programs, workers' compensation, poor performance, and disciplinary actions.
