Job summary

U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command (DOD) seeks an administrative support specialist at Camp Dodge Military Reservation, IA. The role supports the RACD, records maintenance, and enlistment processing, including fingerprinting of applicants.

This is a permanent, full-time federal position. The incumbent may travel occasionally and will handle various office tasks to ensure smooth processing of applicants.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience: updating account information and obtaining data from applicants for personnel records.
• Education substitution: four years of education above high school in business/secretarial/technical fields.
• Combination of Education and Experience: compute percent complete for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Aid visitors by directing them to appropriate contacts at processing center.
• Answer and/or forward telephone calls to appropriate personnel.
• Administer pre-oath briefings for processing procedures.
• Maintain office security via reception desk and visitor logs.
• Operate office automation equipment to prepare enlistment documents.
• Perform records management of electronic and paper applicant records.
• Obtain fingerprints for background investigations.
• Review records, packets, and forms for compliance.
• Prepare recruitment documents for enlistment or reenlistment.
