Job summary

Naval Education and Training Command (DON) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant (Military) to support Enlisted Programs at Navy Recruiting Processing Stations within the Navy Talent Acquisition Groups (NTAGs) at NRD Philadelphia, Fort Dix, NJ. This role involves reviewing eligibility, processing enlistment actions, and maintaining service records.

You will collect data, conduct interviews to verify information, and ensure records comply with regulations.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience at GS-04 or equivalent in a processing environment.
Supervising and/or leading personnel in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven processing environment.
Managing end‑to‑end enlistment or accessions processing workflow with accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Applying and interpreting military personnel, recruiting, and accessions policies to resolve complex processing issues.
Conducting formal quality assurance or quality checks on applicant/enlistment records and identifying deficiencies.

Responsibilities

Support Enlisted Programs at Navy Recruiting Processing Stations for NTAGs.
Serve as an initial reviewer of eligibility for naval service using directives and regulations.
Review enlistment applications and process actions involving complex procedures.
Retrieve data from multiple information sources for responses, reports, or briefings.
Review forms and documents from enlisted applicants and construct initial electronic service records.
Interview personnel to verify/correct data from files and residual service records.
Ensure service records are complete and conform to applicable regulations.
