Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for a Fort Hood, TX assignment. The role focuses on fire protection and life-safety system design review, inspection, and coordination across project teams.

The candidate should have a PE license, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and at least five years of fire protection experience, with knowledge of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards. US citizenship and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
• Experience with USACE or federal projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand fire protection requirements per UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful execution of fire protection features.
• Perform plan reviews, inspections, and acceptance testing.
• Review contractor submittals and provide technical comments.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Serve as a fire-safety consultant to project managers and government personnel.
