Elastic is seeking an Applied Engineer to work with federal customers, guiding strategy, architecture, design and implementation. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, delivering mission-driven outcomes and building strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes security engineering, automated tooling, context integration, and advanced search architecture. Eligible for US Federal clearance and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling to deploy and manage secure solutions.
• Strong background in Elasticsearch or similar distributed search technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Python, JavaScript or Golang.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and implement security architectures and data pipelines.
• Develop IaC patterns and automation frameworks for scalable deployments.
• Bring enterprise data to AI agents through Context Engineering & RAG.
• Engineer hybrid retrieval for sparse and dense vectors in the Search AI Platform.
• Architect and optimize Elasticsearch for large-scale data ingestion.
• Present demos and proofs-of-concept to showcase Elastic Stack value.
• Perform data modeling, query development, vector embedding and cluster tuning.
