Job summary

Elastic Government Solutions is expanding its Federal Consulting Team to support public sector customers in O’Fallon, IL.

As a Consulting Architect, you will guide strategy, architecture design, and capacity planning for Elastic deployments in mission-critical environments, including airgapped and classified setups, while building strong customer relationships and delivering scalable, high-performance search and analytics.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Federal security clearance (Secret).
• “5+ years in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles.”
• “3+ years consulting or client-facing experience.”
• “Experience with Elasticsearch or similar distributed data tech.”
• “Experience deploying via Helm charts and IaC with GitOps.”
• “Knowledge of ILM policy design and index lifecycle management.”
• “External Secrets Operator and STIG practices in Kubernetes.”

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and oversee Elastic consulting engagements for federal clients.
• Architect, implement, and configure Elastic deployments incl. airgapped and classified environments.
• Deploy and manage ECK in isolated environments with full stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats).
• Manage Helm charts and FluxCD-based deployments for stack configurations.
• Design ILM policies and ensure compliant data retention.
• Configure External Secrets Operator for secret management.
• Apply STIG best practices across Elastic deployments.
• Develop demos and PoCs to demonstrate Elastic Stack value.
• Mentor consultants and participate in technical interviews.
