Job summary

CDM Smith in Oklahoma (Broken Arrow) seeks an experienced engineer to serve as the technical liaison among federal design and construction teams and contractors on complex government projects.

You will review submittals, reports, and specifications for compliance, apply engineering principles across planning, design review, and construction administration, and provide constructability determinations. Domestic travel is required; PE preferred; 5+ years of experience; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Able to pass a federal background check.
• Experience with design review, construction administration, cost estimating, scheduling, and contract management.
• Strong written and oral communication with military clients and government teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison between federal government client design branch, construction branch, and contractors.
• Review design submittals, shop drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical reports for compliance with Federal and client standards.
• Apply engineering principles across planning, investigation, design review, construction administration, and assessment of procedures, structures, and tools.
• Monitors progress and prepares technical reports and project status reports.
• Provide engineering judgment for field modifications, non-conformance issues, value engineering proposals, and constructability reviews.
• Develop client relationships through responsive communication and strong technical support.
