Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Senior Field Marketing Manager - Public Sector to own multi-channel field marketing for U.S. Federal and Defense segments.

You will shape strategy, run integrated campaigns, and partner with sales leadership to build pipeline in DoD, DoS, and DIB markets. You will lead cross-functional programs with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Sales, focusing on FedRAMP, IL5, data residency, and compliance messaging, while managing budgets and programs across events and digital

Qualifications

• 6+ years of field marketing experience in B2B SaaS.
• 4+ years marketing to the U.S. Federal government.
• Direct experience with Defense buyers and federal systems integrators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for and execute the integrated Federal and Defense field marketing plan aligned to Public Sector sales priorities and pipeline goals.
• Build segment-specific program tracks for Federal Civilian, Federal Systems Integrator, DoD, and Defense Industrial Base audiences.
• Own Datadog’s presence across the federal event calendar and related executive gatherings.
• Create program formats to move federal buyers through the funnel: briefs, workshops, roundtables, webinars; manage budgets and recruitment.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing on FedRAMP High, IL5 progress, data residency, and compliance messaging for federal audiences.
• Partner with Demand Generation on campaign strategy, nurture tracks, lead flow, and SLA-driven follow-ups; own funnel conversion.
• Mentor teammates and bring federal market expertise into broader planning.
