Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Quality Control Manager in Stockton, CA to ensure projects meet company, client, and regulatory quality standards. The role interprets plans, drives corrective actions, prepares submittals, and collaborates with inspectors and project management to maintain schedule and budget.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 7+ years QC experience, including healthcare project exposure (OSHPD/HCAI).

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of quality control experience required.
• Ideal candidate will have experience supporting quality control on healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI) construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
• Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specs to ensure quality standards.
• Drive corrective actions to align with project requirements.
• Prepare and deliver submittals and coordinate with inspectors.
• Partner with project management to keep work on schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain project submittals aligned with specifications and plans.
• Produce reports as required by project specifications.
