Job summary

GSA is seeking a Construction Control Representative (Cost Estimator) to provide guidance on Architect/Engineering and Construction costs for various projects. You will prepare bid-level estimates and analyze proposals for budget compliance across modernizations, renovations, repairs, alterations, and lease-construction.

You will review estimates, collaborate with design teams, and ensure compliance with guidelines, accessibility codes, and regulations while coordinating with contract

Qualifications

• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects (new, modernization, renovation or lease-construction).
• Ability to analyze proposals and ensure budget alignment across diverse projects.
• Proficiency with cost estimating software and agency tools.
• Experience guiding engineers and project teams on construction costs and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid-level cost estimates for construction and renovation projects.
• Analyze complex proposals and ensure adherence to budgets and codes.
• Review and approve estimates and price proposals with project teams.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and estimates using agency tools.
• Coordinate contract lifecycle with Contract Specialist and external vendors.
