Job summary

GSA is seeking a Construction Control Representative (Cost Estimator) to guide and analyze Architect/Engineering and Construction costs. You will prepare bid-level estimates for diverse projects, review A/E estimates, and help ensure budgets stay on target.

You will develop takeoffs, use agency tools, and collaborate with contract specialists to manage the full lifecycle from procurement to closeout at the federal level.

Qualifications

• Resume must clearly demonstrate specialized cost-estimating experience for construction projects.
• Experience in providing guidance on construction costs, materials, labor, and design options.
• Experience ensuring cost estimate consistency across varied project types.
• Familiarity with contract specifications and construction practices.
• Candidates should meet GS-11 equivalent experience for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates with bid-level detail for new construction, modernization, renovation, repair, alteration, and lease-construction projects.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and parametric/definitive estimates using agency tools.
• Review and advise on A/E cost estimates, price proposals, and detailed estimates.
• Collaborate with contract specialists to manage procurement through closeout.
