Job summary

GSA is seeking a Construction Control Representative (Cost Estimator) to provide guidance and analysis on Architect/Engineering and Construction costs. The role involves preparing bid-level cost estimates across a range of construction projects, reviewing estimates for accuracy, and advising project teams to keep projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Resume must clearly demonstrate specialized cost estimating experience for construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimates for new construction, modernization, renovation, repair, alteration, and lease-construction.
• Experience ensuring estimates adhere to guidelines, accessibility codes, ethics provisions, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates with bid-level detail for new construction, modernization, renovation, repair, alteration, and lease-construction projects.
• Analyzes complex proposals including security, historic preservation, seismic upgrades, sustainability, ADA compliance, hazardous materials abatement, and other specialized requirements.
• Reviews and approves A/E cost estimates, price proposals, and detailed estimates; provides guidance to project teams to ensure budgets are met.
