Job summary

Achuti is seeking a Federal Construction Assistant Project Manager to support region-wide projects from our Columbia, SC area. The role blends field operations with project administration, requiring strong documentation and communication with subcontractors and government representatives.

The candidate will work with Senior Project Managers at active sites like Fort Jackson, Shaw AFB, and McEntire JNGB, traveling regionally as awards dictate. A background in construction management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating federal or military construction projects is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specs, schedules, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Managers with planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of federal projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, site access, inspections and schedules.
• Prepare professional project reports, meeting minutes, and client correspondence.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, transmittals, and project-control documents.
• Support project meetings and progress reporting.
