Job summary

VAST Data, Inc. is seeking a Sales Executive - Federal Cloud to drive growth across the U.S. Federal market, focusing on cloud-centric opportunities.

You will own the sales motion for federal agencies adopting cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, engaging with customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem to close strategic deals. You will build pipelines, develop executive-level relationships across agencies, technology partners, and providers, and lead complex cycles from discovery to close

Qualifications

• Proven success selling infrastructure, cloud, data, AI, or enterprise tech into the U.S. Federal Government.
• Ability to create net-new Federal business and multi-stakeholder deals.
• Experience engaging with senior Federal executives and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for VAST's Federal cloud business; build pipeline and close net-new opportunities.
• Develop relationships with senior government, technology, data, infrastructure, and AI leaders across targeted Federal accounts.
• Build and execute strategic account plans focused on agencies undergoing cloud, data modernization, HPC, and AI transformation.
• Navigate Federal buying cycles, including procurement vehicles, partners, integrators, and multi-stakeholder decisions.
• Collaborate with cloud providers and their Federal sales teams to identify joint opportunities and coordinated strategies.
• Develop co-sell motions with VAST, cloud partners, GSIs, and Federal customers.
• Identify large-scale opportunities to be a foundational data platform across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead enterprise sales cycles from discovery to procurement and close.
• Establish executive sponsorship across customer organizations for strategic opportunities.
• Partner with VAST Systems Engineering, Federal leadership, Alliances, Product, and partner teams to deliver the right solution.
