Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership and composure in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education may qualify for advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers using surveillance and nighttime methods.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform checks on farms, buildings, traffic, and city areas, and patrol via various assets.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waters using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets.
