U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at multiple grade levels, offering full-time, entry to mid-level opportunities. Positions may involve extensive field duties, from questioning individuals to patrolling borders and using a range of assets.

Eligible applicants should meet education or experience requirements and be prepared for specialized training. Base salary levels vary by grade (GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11) with incentives and benefits including health,

Formación

• Knowledge of Immigration and Nationality Law (non-immigrant classifications, inadmissible/noncitizens).
• Knowledge of Use of Force Policy (firearms, less-lethal devices).
• Knowledge of Criminal Law and Procedure (statutory authority).
• Skill in using physical techniques (self-defense, baton, OC spray).
• Skill in using firearms (handgun, shotgun, M-4).
• Skill in basic operation of a motor vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry; perform various checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal areas using diverse assets.
• Adhere to Border Patrol mission and safety protocols in all assignments.
