Job summary

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead to drive growth in Federal Civilian and DoD sectors. Lead opportunity identification, qualification, and pursuit strategies while coordinating with Capture, Proposal, Operations, and partners.

You will research requirements, acquisition strategies, and timelines, build relationships with Federal customers and industry partners, and contribute to win strategies. Strong communication and analytical skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; field in business/marketing/communications or related.
• 5–7+ years of Federal Government business development experience.
• Understanding of Federal acquisition and procurement processes.
• Experience identifying, researching, qualifying, and tracking Federal opportunities.
• Experience with capture and proposal lifecycle.
• Ability to research customer requirements, competitors, and acquisition strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new Federal opportunities in Civilian and DoD.
• Maintain a pipeline aligned with capabilities and growth objectives.
• Research Federal missions, budgets, and procurement timelines.
• Develop opportunity assessments and pursue strategies.
• Engage with Federal customers and industry partners.
• Support capture activities and bid/no‑bid reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams and partners throughout pursuit lifecycle.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations for leadership.
• Travel for meetings, conferences, and events as needed.
