Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks a part-time Loss Prevention professional to protect assets, conduct investigations, and support safety programs at Naval Base San Diego.

Responsibilities include surveillance, audits, case work, and coordination with security teams. A Secret clearance within 6 months is required; citizenship and multi-location readiness are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical office or retail experience.
• 1 year in law enforcement or investigative work related to property protection.
• Education substitutions may apply for experience as described.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance to detect suspicious activity across Navy Exchange facilities.
• Investigate suspected fraud, waste, and abuse per LPS policies.
• Prepare case reports and process evidence following standards.
• Audit cash registers, cash offices, inventory controls, and service ops as directed.
• Testify in courts or military hearings when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance at all times.
