Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in San Diego, CA seeks a Federal Employee to join a sales team delivering friendly, accurate customer service while helping active duty members, retirees, and families save money.

The part-time position tasks include greeting customers, processing transactions, handling orders and payments, and supporting store policies. You will help open NEXCARD accounts, resolve issues, and contribute to department goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical, office, or retail sales experience demonstrating customer service.
• Study completed in college/university above high school level may substitute for 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides specialized services.
• Performs transactions quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
• Assists customers with opening NEXCARD accounts and answers account questions.
• Ensures store policies are followed and customer problems are resolved calmly and effectively.
• Coordinates with supervisor on stock, pricing, and customer needs.
• Performs cash register transactions and assists in training new associates.
• Supports multiple departments as needed.
