Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a seasoned Federal Alternative Delivery Market Lead to guide strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors pursuing government delivery projects in the United States. You will build executive relationships, identify priority pursuits, and position CDM Smith as a premier design partner on prime teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 15 years related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Targeting and establishing direct relationships with regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery contracts.
• Positioning CDM Smith as the preferred design subcontractor early in the procurement cycle and negotiating exclusivity and teaming terms.
• Working with pursuit teams to present engineering expertise, constructability, cost validation, design-phase management, risk mitigation, and phased delivery models to General Contractors.
• Leading teaming strategy for Department of War and other federal agency opportunities by translating procurement criteria into competitive designer-led structures.
• Collaborating with federal CSLs to maintain a qualified pipeline of federal opportunities and track status and next actions.
• Tracking federal agency movement toward accelerated delivery methods and aligning resources with prime contractor interest and capacity.
• Identifying and resolving friction points between General Contractor and A/E teams during design validation and cost reconciliation.
• Serving as the senior relationship and capture lead through teaming execution and transition to delivery teams.
