Graybar is seeking a Federal Government Strategic Account Manager to develop and execute plans for Federal agencies, the DOD, and defense-related organizations. The role involves building strategic relationships with prime contractors, systems integrators, and other Federal partners while coordinating across Graybar branches and districts.

The position emphasizes strategic account leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive travel to support Federal opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible sales/account management experience, preferably Federal Government or DOD.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into measurable sales execution.
• Willingness to travel extensively nationwide and work across multiple sites and programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic and tactical account plans for Federal Government and DOD customers.
• Identify and pursue new Federal opportunities across agencies, installations and programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with prime contractors, system integrators, and other Federal partners.
• Coordinate requirements across multiple sites and business units and provide market knowledge and training as needed.
