Job summary

The Wilkinson Firm is seeking an independent GovCon consultant to drive federal opportunities on a part-time basis. Remote work with occasional DC travel as needed, rate $100–$500 per hour based on experience and scope.

You will own federal account targeting, develop agency relationships, manage opportunities in HubSpot CRM, and ensure FAR/DFARS and SAM.gov compliance while coordinating with the GovCon Division Lead.

Qualifications

• Experience selling to federal agencies and understanding procurement processes.
• Ability to develop agency relationships and capture opportunities.
• Knowledge of SAM.gov, FAR/DFARS basics, and contract vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Target federal customers across priority verticals (HHS, DoD, VA).
• Account development: agency POC outreach, prime relationships.
• Pipeline development feeding the GovCon pipeline with qualified opportunities.
• Federal contracts literacy: FAR/DFARS basics, SAM.gov management.
• Capability statement positioning and customer-tailored briefings.

Job description

Engagement type: Independent consultant, 1099 hourly. Rate range: $100 - $500 per hour, based on experience and scope (three-tier band detailed below). Time commitment: Part-time or fractional, scales with account activity. Location: Remote, with DC and agency travel as opportunities require. Reports to: GovCon Division Lead.
