Job summary

DHL Express in the United States is seeking a PM FDA Customs Entry Writer to ensure compliance with federal regulations for imported products and to process shipments through FDA and US Customs portals. You will classify shipments, prepare entries, compute duties, review invoices and bills of lading, and coordinate with origin/destination sites to obtain release and resolve delays.

Requires high school diploma and at least 1 year in transportation or customs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact with multiple teams.
• Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with handling numeric data and 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning and directing the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations.
• Classifies dutiable import/export shipments to ensure compliance with government rules.
• Processes extension, expiration, cancellation, and other government entries.
• Communicates shipment status with origin and destination locations.
• Applies for Import/Export Permits and Certificates of Eligibility.
• Maintains communication with the department of foreign affairs.
• Examines documents to determine correct Harmonized Tariff Code.
