Job summary

Fleet and Family Support Center Lemoore is seeking a Family Child Care (FCC) Director to administer a home-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood and school age program for eligible patrons. The role oversees up to 85 FCC homes, ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and partners with DoD/NAEYC standards.

The ideal candidate will lead program development, budgeting, and personnel management while maintaining strong relationships with local institutions and families,

Qualifications

• 3 years of fulltime experience working with children and/or youth or a combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of the principles of child development and designing/managing a complex program.
• Knowledge of DoN/DoD policies, regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and purchasing for a child development program.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Program Management: supervise FCC developmental programming and ensure a developmentally appropriate program.
• Budgeting & Financial Management: manage funds, budget input, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Personnel Management: supervise FCC staff/providers and oversee staffing schedules and performance.
• Program Operations: input into SOPs and collaborate with other CYP Directors and PIB.
• Compliance: ensure DoN/DoD/NAEYC compliance and accreditation; implement health and safety standards.
