Job summary

Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Child Development Center (CDC) Director to administer a center-based early childhood program for eligible patrons. Responsibilities include directing a CDC of up to 199 children, ensuring developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining compliance with DoD, DoN, and local standards.

The role covers program management, budgeting, staffing, and collaboration with local institutions to support military families.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Experience supervising staff and volunteers in a youth program.
Knowledge of child development and complex program management.
Budgeting, financial management, and purchasing for a program.
Familiarity with DoD and Navy child care standards and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

Applies knowledge of child development to supervise CDC developmental programming.
Ensures development and implementation of developmentally appropriate programs and activities.
Oversees staff performance and safety of children; ensures compliance with policies and standards.
Develops and analyzes surveys and needs assessments; plans hours of operation and programming.
Maintains statistical data for planning, reporting, and resource allocation.
