Job summary

MW Components is seeking a Project Engineer in the Fastener Division to support manufacturing engineering duties, deploy new products, and drive cost improvements. The role involves creating internal drawings and models, defining processing methods, and maximizing machine efficiency with a hands-on approach.

You will analyze manufacturing data, work with tooling and operations to optimize processes, and develop documentation such as PFMEAs and control plans.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; highly collaborative.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and pursue high-value activities with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

  • New Product Development: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals; translate requirements into internal drawings and processing methods; assess material, labor, and equipment for cost optimization; collaborate with operators and sourcing; develop engineering documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct value stream mapping and LEAN analyses; review production data to drive CI; scope equipment to enhance performance; perform Gemba walks; develop and implement standard operating procedures.
