Job summary

Spincraft in Massachusetts seeks a Project/Process Engineer to drive cost estimates, conceptual tool design, and cross-functional project development from concept to first article shipment.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to deliver compliant manufacturing solutions on time and within budget, developing documentation, schedules, and capital justifications for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar software.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a new project and associated development from initial design through first article shipment.
• Develop cost estimates for new and repeat projects using information from internal/external sources.
• Create manufacturing documentation (BOMs, routings, part/process/tool sketches) using SolidWorks and related tools.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and suppliers to develop a manufacturing solution.
• Evaluate nonconformance and generate rework instructions if needed.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Organize process/cost data to support decision-making; perform time studies.
• Act as technical point of contact for project, customer, and vendors.
• Assist with MS Project schedules; participate in tool design approvals.
• Prepare project updates and capital expenditure justifications to leadership.
