Job summary

Church's Chicken in Wisconsin is seeking a restaurant cook to prepare and cook food per the Shift Manager's direction and the Church’s Operating Standards Manual. You will set up batter area, fry foods, and ensure quality and timing across tasks.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while working with the FieldOperations team and reporting equipment issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sets up batter table and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete and posted.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to Manager in Charge.
• Maintains correct shortening level in fryers.
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepares and cooks food per business needs and Manager direction.
• Ensures food meets SOM specifications and holding times.
• Maintains clean work area using clean-as-you-go practices.
• Verifies stock at batter area and keeps cooler organized.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
