Qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher level degree and/or jewelry/gemstone evaluation experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of silver, gold and other metals.
• Two+ years related experience working with jewelry.
• Knowledge of vintage and high-end jewelry; ability to distinguish genuine pieces from costume or faux items.
• Fluency with a loupe and measuring tools (mm gauge, ring sizer, weight scales, rulers).
• Tech-savvy; proficiency with Google Drive, Microsoft Office and processing systems.
• Ability to communicate via email, phone and in person with cross-team coordination.
• Self-starter with reliable transportation; able to work flexible hours including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Decipher between costume jewelry, fine jewelry, and silver.
• Sort and visually group lots based on quality, value, and style.
• Process multiple pieces per hour with accuracy.
• Assess need for and ensure jewelry is cleaned as required.
• Adhere to correct cleaning processes by metal and stone type.
• Collaborate with internal teams to correct inaccuracies before items go live.
• Maintain a team culture of open and positive communication.
• Minimize returns by accurate assessment and condition notes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work space.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
