Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess in Baton Rouge to warmly greet guests, seat them, and provide menus and information on specials. You will coordinate with servers and staff to ensure smooth dining experiences and operate the cash register with accuracy.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in a role with guest interaction or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with guests.
• Demonstrated money-handling and math skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a computerized cash register.
• Must be age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests at tables according to guest preference and table availability.
• Provide guests with menus and inform guests of restaurant specials and feature items.
• Coordinate with food servers, bus persons and other restaurant personnel in providing guest service.
• Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions.
• Keep cash register and host area stocked with necessary equipment, forms and supplies.
