Job summary

Total Access Urgent Care in the greater St. Louis area is seeking a Patient Access Representative to shape each patient’s experience from arrival to departure. You will greet, check in, and guide patients through intake while handling insurance and co-pays with clarity.

This role offers competitive pay starting at 17–18/hour, a flexible full-time schedule (3 days per week, 8 AM–8 PM) with alternating weekends and holidays, and opportunities to grow within a high-volume clinic network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (you may “rove” between locations during a shift).
• Available to work 12-hour shifts (no overnights), with alternating weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Guide patients through the initial intake process with clarity and patience.
• Verify patient insurance coverage using online tools and EMR systems.
• Cleary explain co-pays, deductibles, and coverage questions in a friendly, easy-to-understand way.
• Collect co-pays and explain visit costs with professionalism.
• Handling sensitive or difficult conversations with tact and professionalism.
• Answer incoming calls and assist with patient questions or follow-up.
• Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Create a warm, helpful, and efficient front desk experience for every visitor.
