Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Designated Selling Associate (DSA) Salesperson who is passionate about fashion and excels in a customer-focused sales environment.

This role drives sales, educates customers on trends, and collaborates with DSAs, Stylists, and departments to deliver outstanding service. The DSA will build relationships, provide style guidance, and stay informed on brand performance and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with customers to cultivate relationships
• Ability to excel in a competitive team environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals
• Ability to educate customers on new and emerging brands and suggest based on what will work for them
• Confidence with high/low price points and ability to showcase value to customers

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling with selling tools and reservations
• Build lasting relationships with customers
• Provide honest and confident feedback to customers about style, fit and value
• Attend meetings and trainings to build product knowledge
• Lead product knowledge meetings with DSAs, Stylists, and related departments
• Drive sales through appointment-based selling during events and non-event times
• Keep the department customer ready through merchandising, stocking, and display maintenance
• Grow Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
