Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Designated Selling Associate (DSA) Salesperson who is passionate about fashion and excels in one-on-one customer interactions.

This role drives sales, delivers top-tier service, and educates customers on brand trends and product knowledge. DSAs lead customer service, merchandising, and selling efforts, cultivating relationships with existing and new customers while aligning with brand performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals.
• Understand how to educate customers on new and emerging brands, suggesting based on what will work for them.
• Confidence with high/low price points and the ability to showcase to customers the value of the item and how it completes their wardrobe.
• Strong understanding of customer’s holistic wardrobe and style, with ability to follow up and advise on needs.
• Physical Requirements: continuous movement, frequent hand use, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals, for both in-store and digital selling with effective use of selling tools and reservations.
• Build lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide honest and confident feedback to customers about style, fit and value.
• Seek fashion and product knowledge, including attending meetings and trainings to build expertise.
• Build relationships with DSAs, Stylists, and surrounding departments by conducting product knowledge meetings.
• Provide valid product feedback to DM to help better the assortment.
• Drive predictable business through appointment-based selling during events and non-event times.
• Keep the department customer ready through stocking, re-merchandising, display, markdowns, transfers and cleaning.
• Grow sales by opening Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
